Nursing Supervisor

Bio

Kim became an RN in 2007 and spent much of her career working as a nurse in the Emergency Department. She has also worked in the PACU, PreOp, OR, and over the last four years of her career, has worked as a Nursing Supervisor for two different mental health and substance abuse facilities in the area. Prior to becoming a nurse, Kim worked as a health teacher and basketball coach in a high school, in radio sales, and in the business office of a radio station in Madison, WI.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Texas A&M University-Commerce, a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Kennesaw State University, and a master’s in healthcare administration from Colorado State University.

Kim is engaged, has an amazing daughter who is in elementary school, and is a fur Mama to three cats and two guinea pigs (and maybe soon to a puppy)! She is originally from Texas but has also lived in Maryland, Wisconsin, and Georgia, and finally moved to Saint Petersburg, FL thirteen years ago. Being this close to the beach and the amazing weather has made Florida her favorite place to live thus far.

Kim enjoys traveling, the mountains, hiking, kayaking, whitewater rafting, going to Disney with her daughter, walking the beach at dawn, and spending time with family. Kim strives to live her life by the quote “Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.” – Confucius.
