Bio

Cecilia Williams is an empathic provider who is truly passionate about decreasing the generational stigma attached to mental health. She believes every individual is unique, which is why she takes a comprehensive approach to treatment – addressing psychiatric, medical, as well as social contributing factors. While she appreciates the value of medication. Cecilia also realizes the integral role that self-care, nutrition, and exercise play in the healing process. She finds great joy in helping her clients here at Tranquil Shores reach their highest potential to live healthy and fulfilling lives in recovery.

Cecilia is nationally certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She began her training at State College of Florida, earning an Associate of Science in Nursing. She went on for her Master of Science in Nursing and later received a Post Master’s Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Miami.

Cecilia has varied experience with pediatrics, adolescents, and adults in a multitude of settings that include hospitals, rural clinics, urgent care, group homes, assisted living facilities, home health, detention centers, inpatient/outpatient community mental health centers, and medication assistant programs. Cecilia’s clinical ideals are openness, compassion, and flexibility. With every individual, she strives to understand each patient’s life experiences and health goals. Cecilia values the client/provider relationship and forges to build a foundation of trust to help guide them toward a healthy, rewarding life and lifestyle.

Her mantra is “This is a No Judgment Zone.”
